As one of the leading energy companies in Germany, MVV has many years of experience in the use of battery storage systems. In addition to the established home storage facilities, the first projects with district storage facilities have also been realised. MVV expects to see major growth areas in the field of commercial and generation-related storage facilities and in long-term storage using hydrogen. MVV would like to test selected application cases with a high medium-term implementation probability using suitable battery technologies and, for this purpose, participate in both use case modelling and test sites.
